The Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre

The Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC) focuses on predator conservation as well as the preservation of rare, vulnerable or endangered animals. The HESC is a non−profit organisation, ploughing all the funds it earns back into nature conservation, and has established itself as one of the leaders in the breeding and research of endangered species.

Besides this, the HESC also provides a safe haven for orphaned or sick animals and houses an education centre where the public and our younger generations can learn more about endangered species by observing them at close range.

Plan a field trip to the HESC with your family; the Centre is also open for school visits and offers teacher support.
