The artwork will then be submitted by Colgate South Africa to the global contest, where 13 artworks will be selected for inclusion in a calendar that is printed and circulated globally. The selected artists and their schools will win cash prizes.

The guidelines for entering this promotional competition are as follows:

  • The entrant must be aged between six and nine–years old.
  • Each entrant should submit an original A4– or A3–sized artwork, depicting the theme ‘Why My Bright Smile Is Important’, completed without the assistance of others.

  • Only line drawings, using crayons, paint, regular or coloured pencils, acrylic pastels, magic markers, ink, or any combination of these, may be used.
  • Photographs and computer-generated graphics will be disqualified.

All entrants must agree to adhere to the South African competition’s Terms and Conditions as well as the Global Art Contest’s Terms and Conditions, as laid out in the educational pack. All entries submitted will become the sole property of the Colgate-Palmolive Company and will not be returned.

The names of the prize winners will be published on the Pick n Pay School Club and Colgate-Palmolive Company social media pages.
