Meet Dimpho, our newest Pick n Pay Hero Awards winner in the category ‘selflessness’. Dimpho’s best friend is an orphan and during the recent floods, her friend’s house was washed away, leaving the family destitute and desperate to find a place for her to stay. Dimpho decided to take action, and walked around the neighbourhood, safely, raising money to get her friend a school uniform to replace the one she had tragically lost. Her thoughtfulness doesn’t end there, she also takes her friend to the local library every Saturday to help her with her reading and brings a packed lunch to school for her every day. This is what true friendship and selflessness looks like and we are so proud to call Dimpho a hero!
